Personality: Death is the snarky, cynical and arrogant rider of the Horsemen with a Devil-May-Care attitude towards others. What's more is that he has every right to be those things as well. His arrogance is justified as he is easily the most powerful of his siblings, having been known to cause mass genocide, the destruction of entire armies and worlds, his name is spoken in harsh whispers and through grieving lips. Even in Revelations he is mentioned as being the ultimate killing machine; when the Reaper arrives on the scene, everything dies and nothing can help you. With this knowledge in mind, it is easy to see how and why Death is arrogant. Of course he typically does not allow his arrogance to go to his head either. Even when facing the most minor of opponents, Death is shown to be both cruel, cunning and effective. He does not let any form of threat escape, even if it means he has to destroy everything in sight in order to reap that foe.
This also leads into his more cynical side. Having committed some of the most horrific acts imaginable, and unimaginable. He is the one who both causes, and carries out mass genocide, murder, betrayal and has even killed and sacrificed his own family. He has witnessed countless beings pass on in pain and agony, as well as caused others pass on in pain and agony. Granted that over all unlike his siblings who consider killing a duty, he considers it to be more of an art form. To see how many he can kill, and how many ways that he can bring about their demise, showing just how long he has been performing these actions for. Typically he attempts to cut himself away from the emotions of ending the existence of others as well, as that would only get in the way of his own, continued existence, and that of the rest of the Horsemen.
However he does appear to somewhat regret a few of his actions, the main one being where he and his siblings had caused the death of the rest of the Nephilim, their own people. Granted that he did feel justified in doing so, as he felt that they did throw off the balance of the rest of the Universe and needed to be stopped. But as I said he does regret his actions, and shows it by having kept their souls alive and safe up until when he decided to trade both his soul, and those of his fallen race in order to revive humanity. Of course this was mostly due to him wishing to clear his brother's name and restore balance. Another moment where he showed himself to capable of empathy and regret was for when he sacrificed his brother. To the point where he couldn't even bare to mention his deed to his brother out of shame for doing such a thing.
Next, Death has a very odd way of showing affection. He is cold, merciless, conniving; an opportunist and more than ready to sacrifice others, and himself. But he is not afraid to do so in the protection of those he seems to hold a fondness for. In fact the entire point of reviving Mankind was not just to restore balance and order to the Universe, but to help absolve his brother of a false crime that he had not committed. The Pale Rider even went so far as to sacrifice the souls of the Nephilim that he had kept safe, and his self, in order to do so. Granted that he was later revived for the true Apocalypse, but it still counted as an honest and pure self-sacrifice for the good of others. Showing that he does in fact have a hard, be it as cold and hard as he is. Thus he is more than willing to give life, as he is to take it away, so long as it brings balance to the world, serves a purpose and helps those that he, at the very least, shows interest in.
So, to recap; because of who and what he is, Death is arrogant almost to a fault, though that is justified as he is the Death, he finds killing a form of art, rather than a job or duty as that seems to be his general purpose, he does feel some form of regret, though it is usually towards his fellow brethren, and he can show compassion towards life, so long as it is life belonging to those he likes and those that help keep balance.
Abilities: Soul Splitter: A power that allowed Death to split his spirit into two forms while turning his physical body to stone. This allows him to be in two places at once, and while in this form he cannot be hurt as his actual body is made of stone, and the two parts of his soul are not corporeal.
• Reaper Form: Death can transform into a large hooded being with skeletal wings and wielding a massive scythe. He can also summon this form for brief moments during battle and when opening chests and doors. This form not only looks cool, but it also Death near the height of his power. He is stronger, faster, deadlier, does not seem to be capable of being hurt, gives him the ability to fly for short distances and generally can make people shit themselves when they gaze into the eternal abyss in his hood.
• Death Grip: A power that allowed Death to use a ghostly hand to pull items towards him or pull himself to certain points. It also allows him to pull himself towards others or certain points that he cannot reach while not in his Reaper form.
• Voidwalker: A power that allowed Death to create portals in certain surfaces, it could also be used to travel through time once it had been upgraded with the Phasewalker. Granted that the Phasewalker will be negated do to possible game-breaking features.
And of course he is almost completely invulnerable to most forms of attacks, and while he can die it typically takes his soul or body to be destroyed in order to do so. Plus true to his nature he is capable of summoning a flock of crows (which act to give him mana and torture those he directs them to) and a small horde of undead (which also act by draining his opponent's life, raising his own; they also have the added benefit of being capable of exploding when being dismissed or defeated.) in order to attack and do his bidding. The main one of these being his guide and pet raven, Dust, which he uses to help scout out areas; the other being his horse, Despair for transportation, which he seems to be able to summon in a similar fashion as his flock of ravens and undead.
Another ability of his is that he is capable of pulling items out of a hammerspace storage, granted that this will be negated as well do to game breaking effects. He wields two, small scythes that he is capable of folding and unfolding at his will, as well as form into his signature, Reaper scythe.

Death was honestly at a loss for words as he started into the glow that belonged to the Well of Souls. At last the Horseman had reached his destination. He had successfully defeated the champion that Corruption had chosen, Absalom. The one that Death had once called a brother, comrade and friend so foolishly. The one who had just as foolishly attempted him to resurrect their kind; to reclaim what had been stolen from them. But such a thing was long in the past and time had marched ever onward without the presence of the Nephilim.
Chuckling out loud as a sudden realization hit him. Now, now Death was uncertain as to how to actually achieve his final goal. The return of Man into the Balance of things would most certainly not be an easy task, and would most likely require a great exchange. What's more is that he thinks that he knows exactly what exchange that would be. It did not take the Crowfather's presence or knowledge for him to get an idea of what needed to be done.
He needed to sacrifice the souls of the Nephilim, and his own, in order to restore Mankind. Or, he could tap into the power of the Well to restore the Nephilim.
He already knew what he wanted to do. His brother was still condemned by the Charred Council for a crime he had not committed. The Universe itself was out of order do to the sudden and premature call for the Apocalypse, and Man's own premature extinction.
And so after pondering his decisions for a minute or two, he wordlessly took off his executioner's mask and handed it off to the Crowfather. He would not need it anymore; not when his own existence would vanish. Stepping to the edge of the Well, feeling the pangs of remorse for what he was about to do, but also elevation of burden from his shoulders. After this he would no more have to carry the weight of his past sins on his shoulders. After this, the cries of the innocent will no longer haunt him and his brother shall be freed.
Letting go, his body falling into the Well of Souls, his very being ripped apart by the torrents of its powers as it stripped him of his soul, and the souls of the Nephilim. There would be no form of afterlife for either of them. In fact, Death actually found humor in all of this. It was only fitting that the Grim Reaper, the Kinslayer, Destroyer...Death itself, was destroyed by Life. It also seemed fitting that he was sacrificing himself for the very brother that he had so readily sacrificed and maimed.
Despite the pain, Death laughed, and laughed and laughed (he found it extremely humorous, the best black joke he, or anyone, had ever conceived of) until he was finally decimated and absorbed into the Well. Mankind would be restored, and his journey will end. Or would it?
